چکیده

The capacity of the brain to combine sensory information has perplexed scientists who have spent valuable research time trying to understand how people integrate sensory information in speech perception. In some cases, the human nervous system learns to represent the signals as independent prior to sensory integration. Since learning is imperative to achieving expert pattern integration, it is easier for a system to learn the appropriate contingencies.

Nowadays it is known that doing pure tone audiometry just gives us some information about the degree and the type of hearing loss. Therefore a question is posed: How does a man use his hearing for speech perception and what is the necessity of using auditory perception tests? This research was a developmental study which was done in two stages: the first stage included modifying th...

Real-time Speech Driven Avatar with Constant Short Time Delay

It is shown that the perception of speech is inherently multimodal [16][22]. Auditory-visual speech recognition is more accurate than auditory only or visual only speech recognition [1][10]. Research shows that a synthetic talking face can help people understand the associated speech in noisy environments [16]. It also helps people react more positively in interactive services [20]. In some sit...
